Library Readers needed this week!

Volunteer spots are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays to help Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade students during their library time.

Volunteers for Kindergarten will have the opportunity to read to the students.

Volunteers for 1st and 2nd grade will help students find books for checkout and then read to the students.

Following is the library schedule for K, 1st, and 2nd grade:

Wednesdays
AM Kindergarten: 8:30 – 8:50am
2nd Grade: 1:50 – 2:20pm
PM Kindergarten: 2:20 – 2:50pm

Thursdays
1st Grade: 12:20 – 12:50pm

Sign-up for Kids Yoga – Session 3! Classes start next Wednesday, January 16th.

Kids Yoga
Stephanie Roldan from Blissful Owl will instruct Kids Yoga classes every Wednesday from 3:00 – 3:45 pm in the Blythe Park Gym for boys and girls in Kindergarten – 5th Grade.

Session 3
Wednesdays, 3:00 – 3:45 pm
January 16th – March 20th (10 weeks)
$100

RBHS is seeking donations to help the homeless.


The Riverside-Brookfield High School PTO is seeking donations to build Basic Survival Kits to help the homeless.

Help them reach their goal of 150 Survival Kits!

Donations will be collected from now until January 15th.

Donations items:

  • New adult-sized gloves, hats, socks, hand/foot warmers
  • Soap, toothpaste/toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner
  • Hand lotion, lip balm
  • Small bottles of water
  • Non-perishable food items: fruit/granola bars, hard candy, nuts, fruit cups
  • Tax-deductible monetary donations can be made via PayPal by clicking on the following link – “Donate to RBHS PTO” Note: This link can also be found at RBHSPTO.org

Donation items can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Blythe Park
  • Riverside-Brookfield High School, local grade and middle schools
  • Riverside Library
  • Brookfield Library

Participate in the Six Flags “Read to Succeed” program for a FREE admission ticket.

Log your recreational reading hours and participate in the Six Flags “Read to Succeed” Program to receive one free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park this summer.

Every K-5th Grade Blythe Park student who completes six hours of recreational reading and submits a signed reading log by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8th will receive one free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park this summer.

K-5th Grade STUDENTS: Read for fun for a total of 6 hours, log your time and have your parent/guardian sign the reading log.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Print the reading log listed below and help track your child's reading. Then sign the form and send it back to school or email to the School Coordinator: Jennifer Sloger at jensloger@gmail.com

*Tickets are expected to arrive in May.
