Library Readers/Helpers are needed starting next Wednesday and Thursday

Our next set of volunteer spots are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays to help Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd-grade students during their library time.

Volunteers for Kindergarten will have the opportunity to read to the students.

Volunteers for 1st and 2nd grade will help students find books for checkout and then read to the students.

Following is the library schedule for K, 1st, and 2nd grade:

Wednesdays (starting January 15th)

9:00-9:20 K Bassing

12:20-12:50 1st Pinta

12:50-1:20 1st Dirienzo

Thursdays (starting January 16th)

12:20-12:50 2nd Pollock

1:50-2:10 K Bassing

Riverside Brookfield High School MLK Fundraiser

Once again, RBHS is holding a Martin Luther King Fundraiser to collect items for the homeless. A donation box will be available at Blythe Park School now until January 15. Please see the attached the fundraiser information that lists donation items. If you are able, please consider donating to this important cause. With the winter season upon us, this must be an incredibly difficult time for those who live without shelter.

Facility Planning Updates for Blythe Park School

You are invited to come hear about renovation plans for Blythe Park's school building on January 21st at 6:30 pm in the school library. If you would like to learn more about the facility plans and construction plans, please consider joining us for this important meeting. A preview of plans is available: 2019 Addition and Renovation Plans

The January PTA General Meeting will follow at 7PM.

Keeping our Kids Safe in a Digital World

Please join us on Wednesday, January 29 at 6:30 PM at Hauser Junior High School for a presentation by Supervisory Special Agent Tara Smith and Special Agent Kassi Hulliberger of the FBI and Crimes Against Children/Human Trafficking.

West Suburban Human Society Fundraiser

On January 30, the West Suburban Humane Society will visit our school to help kick-off our annual Student Council fundraiser. This year, we will be raising awareness of the needs of homeless animals and the shelters that support them. Please see the two attachments related to this fundraiser. The first explains the fundraiser and the donations we are seeking. The second is a permission slip that must be completed and returned to the school. Hard copies of the permission slip will also be sent home with your child.

Simply scan your store receipt with the Box Tops mobile app to identify participating products and twice a year Blythe Park PTA will receive scanned online.
