Join the 2020-2021 Blythe Park PTA before the deadline of October 30th

Join the PTA – Deadline to Join is Friday October 30, 2020!

THANK YOU to the families who have already joined the PTA! We are currently at 37 members and would love to surpass last year's membership of 80 members! We have collected $2,000 in direct donations and would love to hit our goal of $3,000!

Partnerships between parents, educators, and children enhance children's success. We know that children learn more and have better lives when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts and information and work on projects to benefit children. The Blythe Park PTA hosts programs that benefit the children at our school. Past years programs have included many family fun activities for Blythe families. For this school year PTA events are going to look a little different but the PTA will still offer the Scholastic book fair, Holiday ornaments, Science Fair, Talent show, Teacher/Staff Appreciation week, School yearbook, 5th grade tee shirts and games night, Field day, and Academic Enrichment Opportunities. Some activities will be socially distant, in-person activities and some will be virtual activities for families. The PTA also provides funding to teachers and staff through classroom funds and philanthropy. The PTA works hard to keep families informed about what is going on at school and in the community.

Events organized and funded by the PTA would not be possible without the generous donation of time, fundraising efforts, and direct donations from our parents. We are looking to our families to help with new ideas on how to make this year fun and engaging for our students. By becoming a member of Blythe Park PTA, you can become an important part of helping to ensure that these plans become a reality. Please join us for the next general membership meeting on Tuesday October 20, at 7pm. Zoom meeting information will be available at www.blytheparkpta.org.

School Lunch Program

As of September 1, 2020 the USDA announced all children under 19 years of age are eligible for free meals. This waiver is available till Dec. 31, 2020, and is community eligible.

Lunch will be available for pickup at dismissal at every school. In addition, district-wide lunch pick-up is at Hauser Junior High, outside door number 5 between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm. (walk-up site only, no cars). We encourage families to sign up for lunch. The district developed a sign-up sheet with days listed two weeks in advance. Signing up for lunch will help the logistics of the program. Click here to review the menu and sign up. Once you click on submit, you will receive an email confirming the days you signed up for.

Note: Parents of Ames, Blythe Park, and Hollywood students should contact their child's attending school for more information regarding lunch pick-up times.
