Blythe Park PTA Happenings 09/07/2021

Author, Aaron Reynolds is visiting Blythe Park school on Friday, October 1st! Aaron will be signing books on the day of the visit – books must be pre-ordered by September 10th! The order form is linked below.

Aaron Reynolds is a #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of many highly acclaimed books for kids including CREEPY PAIR OF UNDERWEAR, DUDE!, THE INCREDIBLY DEAD PETS OF REX DEXTER, the Caldecott Honor Medalist CREEPY CARROTS!, and the epic fantasy series FART QUEST. He has a passion for kids' books and seeing kids reading them. He regularly makes time to visit elementary schools, where his hilarious and hands-on presentations keep kids spellbound. He lives in Chicago with his wife, two kids, four cats, and anywhere between zero and ten goldfish, depending on the day.

Follow the below instructions for our new and improved school directory!

1. Click on your organization's URL below and click the Register/Login button.
2. Click the “Create Account” button. EVEN IF YOU HAD A PREVIOUS ACCOUNT – your old account will link if you are using the same email address.
3. Use your email address and select a password. (Login credentials did not transfer from the old platform.)
4. Watch for an email that will ask you to verify your email address and use your newly-created login credentials to log back in.
5. Once you have verified your email address, you need to finish the setup process. Complete the Family Information and the Directory Publish Preferences in “My Account”. Then you're ready to go!

Dear Blythe Park Families,

Partnerships between parents, educators, and children enhance children's success. We know that children learn more and have better lives when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts, information and work on projects to benefit children. The Blythe Park PTA hosts programs that benefit the children at our school. This year we are planning to offer the following:

These events are organized and funded by the PTA and would not be possible without the generous donation of time, fundraising efforts, and direct donations from our parents. Organizing school events during a global pandemic has been an ongoing challenge. Thanks to our community, last year we were able to still offer fun in-person and Zoom opportunities for our families. We are looking to our families to help with new ideas on how to make Blythe Park even more fun! By becoming a member of the PTA, you can become an important part of helping to ensure that these plans become a reality. Benefits of PTA membership include:
