Today’s recipe is an old favorite with a fresh update—Apple Dumplings!

Crisp Granny Smith apple slices are wrapped in crescent rolls and baked in a buttery cinnamon sauce with a splash of lemon-lime soda. That soda mixes with the butter and sugar to create plenty of sweet syrup in the bottom of the pan.

This recipe is easy enough for a weeknight dessert, but it’s also great for fall dinners and holiday gatherings. Serve the dumplings warm with vanilla ice cream and spoon some of that syrup over the top. You won’t regret it!
