Constitution Day Channel

Celebrate Constitution Day by exploring the history, purpose, and legacy of the US Constitution, a historic document that has shaped our history and lives. On September 17, 1787, delegates from the newly-formed states signed the Constitution of the United States. Congress passed a law to commemorate the day as “Citizenship Day” in 1952, and a new law renamed the holiday “Constitution Day” in 2004.

Constitution Day is an opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge of the Constitution and our roles as citizens. History Kids: All About Judaism

It’s College Savings Month!

To support students and educators during September’s College Savings Month (and beyond), we’re teaming up with our Social Impact Partners to give you an array of digital resources focused on financial literacy for all ages. This selection of dynamic content gives younger students stepping stones for responsible financial decision-making and inspires older students to think critically about their college plans and financial goals.

Skill-Building & Awareness

It’s never too early to teach responsible money management! Use College Savings Month as an opportunity to introduce younger learners to financial literacy through programs like Cha-Ching Money Smart Kids by Jackson Charitable Foundation. Students and educators for grades K-6 can find engaging and fun finlit resources that provide the tools and practice to make informed decisions that support their future goals and dreams.

Personal Finance Support

Explore how to make personal finances culturally relevant and interesting in the professional learning series from Pathway to Financial Success in Schools, developed with Discover Financial Services. #CelebrateWithDE: Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic heritage is American heritage, woven into our country’s colorful history and ingrained into every aspect of our society, values, and culture.

While September marks the start of our annual Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), it’s so important to take time now and throughout the school year to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, cultures, and stories of the Hispanic and Latino American communities.
