Blue Train on an open thread
Turning it up a notch tonight for our Friday night music thread. August is jazz month in the Atlasphere. All month I have been featuring the best jazz masterworks, in my arrogant opinion, of course. Tonight is no exception.
Recorded in 1957 on Blue Note, Blue Train was Coltrane’s favorite album. The late fifties was to jazz, what the late thirties was to Hollywood (the apex of the art-form).
It’s the second studio album by John Coltrane. It’s his most important and best selling album after the incredible “A Love Supreme” (which we supremely love and have previously featured). Blue Train has just as much joie and colour.

LOOK: MBTA Banned all Political Ads After AFDI Submitted this Ad
We are witnessing government systematically shutting down free speech across the countries. Our organization, AFDI, has submitted numerous ads to run on transit systems through out the country. Our ads are either pro-Israel or counter-jihad, and sharia compliant systems refuse them (while running pro-jihad, pro-“Palestinian” ads, of course).

France: Cannes BANS burkinis over link to jihad terrorism
Another band-aid over a huge, gaping wound.

The mayor of Cannes in southern France has banned full-body swimsuits known as “burkinis” from the beach, citing public order concerns. David Lisnard said they are a “symbol of Islamic extremism” and might spark scuffles, as France is the target of Islamist attacks.
France is on high alert following a series of incidents including July’s truck attack in nearby Nice.
Anyone caught flouting the new rule could face a fine of €38 (£33).
They will first be asked to change into another swimming costume or leave the beach.

UK man prosecuted for posting ‘grossly offensive’ anti-Muslim comments on police Facebook page
Manchester Evening News doesn’t even tell us most of what he said, so cowed and fearful are Britons of Muslims. The freedom of speech is dead in Britain. Would a Muslim have been prosecuted for saying something about non-Muslims? Never.
